“Authentic Faith Will Leave A Mark”

Mark 7:25–37

24 And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

c. This is a spirit on her and it is unclean by nature, this behavior is not of God!!

B. The request—v. 26 (She kept on begging or asking

A. you must get real specific with The Lord-

Phil. 4:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

C. Real faith—vv. 27–28 (She would not take “no” for an answer)

A. Don’t give when you come to God, keep making ajustments, and putting yourself in position to receive.
Some miracles are conditional- Thy sins be forgiven thee, sin can block healing. sometimes you will have to just stand.

D. The promise—v. 29 (Jesus told her to go, and she went—Obedience and faith always go together)

She believed Him, she didn’t say Jesus come to my house, she left believing, leave the alter believing, leave the prayer line believing. She took the promise and left for home
She took Jesus at His Word!!!

E. The answer—v. 30—Her daughter was healed (The promise, faith, determination, and complete obedience bring the answer

faith coupled with humility.” (Ironside)

Clarke praised the prayer of this woman and showed it had nine notable features: “1. It is short; 2. humble; 3. full of faith; 4. fervent; 5. modest; 6. respectful; 7. rational; 8. relying only on the mercy of God; 9. persevering.”
